Hello creators!
While this blog originates from Texas, we've taken on writers from overseas and other cities nationwide and we're acquiring more.
The purpose is to support ideas and the creators they come from and none is more creative than the blogger who's always trying to draw more attention to their site. We're into that too because we've got a lot to say and as you can tell from the reviews, a lot to promote.
Recently the creator of this blog has become the host of their own weekly internet-radio show which is broadcast out of a growing company that fully supports local and independent talent, who's currently cornered the market of independent radio.
That means more traffic for them! For you that also means more exposure!
Right now and for a limited time, we're offering a deal for all the creators out there where you pay what you can for a month's worth of unconventional promotion, using social media, illustration and radio broadcasting to draw more traffic to your site! Here are the tools we use:
Blog: We'll do write ups about your post to share out into social media as suggested reading.
Twitter: We'll tag you (if you're on twitter: recommended), monitor what's trending, analyze peak moments for exposure and target the right demographic for your message.
HootSuite, SocialOomph, TweetDeck and Klout: We'll use these tools for consistency as well as scheduling your post all night and day for a month, using the monitoring techniques mentioned above.
CoPromote: We've used this tool to draw attention to our interviews and review write ups which had drawn hundreds to one post in a day.
Graphics/Illustration: A more premium service would include graphics and illustration for a better presentation of the post. We'll be able to work with you on that or provide us the freedom to randomly create these images to show off your work.
Radio show: This is a 3-hour program where we will discuss a entry we like or several to use as content for our blog, perhaps even make it a topic on the program with call-ins to engage discussion. We will also promote the blog in the program which is also marketed (EventBrite, Prekindle, Google+ and Facebook) to thousands to add to the traffic the station already gets.
Old School: We don't want a traditional 9-5'er, we want to create and sustain ourselves off of what we do! So we've got our own business cards and are always out in the area generating more traffic to the site. We also do live shows with comedians and bands where the site is also promoted, making sure the traffic keeps coming.
The general idea is that the more traffic a site has the better exposure for people to advertise and for the most part that is true. Our front page has two sponsors as far as traditional advertising goes. But we're not relying on a presence, we're relying on engaging people with the content we post. This not only builds our presence but it also keeps the original idea we've had for this site from the beginning, which is to present unconventional ideas and creative stimulation to others and that is what we're looking to do here.
