Every now and again I'll post a thread of mine that I thought was particularly interesting, cause you know, we love to talk.
-
SinOne of these things is not like the other...specifically...one of these things is not about to go blow a bunch of innocent people up! Merely advocating constitutional rights.
-
ZoWe've had similar acts committed by 'patriots' (O.K. bombing), and mass shootings. I'd say that evens it out, don't you think?
-
SinNot even close. None of those were on behalf of the American government and even if they were, they were not encouraged, trained or sent to kill by the American government. In fact, our gov't PROSECUTED each and every mass murder they could catch alive. As opposed to those countries who REWARD mass murders. Also, it's not exactly (not anywhere near) a regular practice of American citizens.
-
SinI was intentionally late to work the morning Timothy McVey was put to death...I wanted to watch it on TV. How many of those other countries put one of their suicide bombers to death?
-
SinClearly, the girl on the left is flaunting her constitutional rights to possess the gun and practice the religion she chooses. The girl on the left is flaunting the fact that she's going to murder a bunch of innocent peeps.
-
ZoI think the point here is that ideology is the motive. State sponsored terrorism might be more common overseas but the U.S. government has also looked the other way. I understand that's a generalization.
-
ZoBoth will certainly die for what they believe in.
-
Zo @SinI think those countries would put them to death if they could. ;P
-
Heat1) you can't put a suicide bomber to death. That's kinda the point. 2) you have absolutely no idea what the woman on the left is doing or saying. The images themselves are identical.3) there are plenty of people who would argue that Christians do kill people in their god's name.
-
Sin @zo and Heat1) if a suicide bomber was unsuccessful and lived, you could indeed put them to death.2) you guys also have no idea what the woman on the left is doing or saying but since the article (and zo) decided to speculate, I took the liberty of doing the same.3) I know people who indeed argue that Christians kill in their god's name but they never seem to have proof that any modern Christians practice that type of activity...especially no Christians in western civilization.
-
HeatTell that to the family of Dr. Tiller. You're speculating. The images are strikingly similar.
-
SinOh, the gruesome baby killer? Many non Christians were disgusted and outraged by his gruesome acts of snipping a live baby's spinal cord after delivering it from its mother.
-
Heat @SinAh. You are one of those. Got it.
-
SinAnd yes, the images are "strikingly similar" if you live in a hole and have never heard of Americans celebrating their constitutional rights, nor have heard anything about what suicide bombers due just prior to killing a mass of innocent people.
-
SinOne of "those" who were disgusted by that guys acts? So I guess that means you are one of "those" who thinks it was A-Okay.Heat

Citation?

SinSee, Sin'sOpinionOnCurrentEvents&ConstitutionalProtests.
-
HeatAnd yes. I think sometimes late term abortions are needed and in this climate the doctors who perform them are heroes. Who apparently should be shot according to you.
-
HeatAh, well clearly that's a factual source I should take seriously.
-
SinAn abortion doctor in Philadelphia has been charged with eight murders, including seven babies who prosecutors say were born alive then killed with scissors... Gosnell "induced labor, forced the live birth of viable babies in the sixth, seventh, eighth month of pregnancy and then killed those babies by cutting into the back of the neck with scissors and severing their spinal cord," Williams said." http://abcnews.go.com/.../philadelphia-abortion.../story...
-
SinFigured I'd save you a quick Google search to find the front page story that was reported on by every news source. Still think he's a hero?
-
HeatGosnell is not Tiller. Yes. I still think Tiller is a hero.I think you're uninformed and have a set of beliefs that you confuse for facts and you honestly don't understand how anyone could have a different perspective. Thus, you substitute what Gosnell did for what Tiller did and think your argument sound.
-
SinMy bad...wrong doctor. Yeah, it's sucks when lone loonies murder for their beliefs. http://www.csmonitor.com/.../Gun-ammunition-Chick-fil-A-A...
-
SinBut one incident of a looney toon shooting one man is hardly factual support of the claim that Christians murder in their name of their religion in with the same frequency or support by gov't as Palestinians or other advocates for suicide bombs.
-
HeatIt does. I'm unsure what that has to do with your point. There was a religious/political movement to kill a guy... Some might call it a jihad... And someone did it stating those exact reasons.
-
SinOne might call it jihad, but nobody did and it wouldn't be accurate. So let me get this right, you are saying ONE guy in America who killed ONE guy for political/religious reasons, is proof that there is a culture of Christians killing innocent people...Just as there is a culture of jihad and suicide bombers with Muslims?
