Let's give it up for the hip-hop community, since Monday was Hip-Hop Appreciation Day, and last week the Hieroglyphics were in true form with Herio-Day, where they put on a free show in Oakland.

What a great fucking way to give back to the community huh? Monday started off great as well with an interview with 'The Roots' band leader Questlove, as Democracy Now devoted their entire hour to an interview with him about his activism and being the kings of late-night since they'll be (supposedly) moving on to take Jay Leno's spot as Fallon's late night band.

I'm not much for mainstream television, but you have to admit that Fallon's show does have some laughs and with the combination of that and The Roots, you can't miss! Fallon looks like he actually wants to be there.
