(Independent) - Yes, the link we've provided to the Independent isn't just a tease, Indiana Jones 5 is definitely going to happen and just like what we predicted about the sequel to Prometheus, we can already feel the global groan wave a happening.
But I'm pretty much immune to that wave because anyone who thinks the producers should have stopped with Indiana Jones 4, doesn't know anything about the movie business or how to top a failure with a success.
The Time Is Right
So, the time is so right to bring back Indiana Jones the right way for the obvious reason that Star Wars happened, but also because the time they made Indiana Jones 4, was pretty much at the end of Shia LaBeouf's running streak.
Because it wasn't enough that the move was terrible because he was in it, that they might have been tempting an offer to continue the series with him taking Indiana Jones' place, threatened the continuation of anymore movies.
Both the release of The Force Awakens and that putting Shia in the lead would send the wrong message to fans means that there's more of an opportunity for other talented people to take control.

The suggestion that Chris Pratt or Bradley Cooper could continue the role plants a good image in our minds of the possibilities thus, disarming us to accept the possibility that letting Harrison Ford, though unfortunate, is a healthy transition.
Disney's Relationship With Audiences
The hardest of us are coming to accept that putting something like The Force Awakens in Disney's hands isn't a deal-breaker for us, softening us up and realizing that Indiana Jones 5 will be in great hands actually.
I can't help but add that, before I accepted the fact that movies are primarily about making money before they're about telling stories, a monster like Disney makes my skin crawl but they've also put out a lot of great work so it's a love hate relationship for a lot of us. But they aren't going anywhere and so it's better to just go with it and enjoy that they're going to have Disney hands all over it.
George Lucas Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind
[getty src="81439991" width="594" height="441"] Again, we go back to The Force Awakens, George Lucas doesn't have to be involved in a movie to make it a success. The man certainly has a lot of clout but, he's pretty much lost his touch.
His impact on our childhood, though relevant for what it was, isn't something you can rely on him to recreate anymore. Clearly, there's plenty of talent out there like J.J. Abrams who know how to make those kinds of movies in a matter that counts and is evergreen.
In the article, the once reluctant-about-Indiana-Jones-4 Steven Spielberg is into it, probably because he feels the same thing we're talking about here, fertile ground for new ideas.
Usually we like to reference other things to make our case, citations and shit but why bother when you've got common sense. The time is right for them to do one more. Let's do this!
