I hadn’t paid much attention to updates on Senator Mitch McConnell since he first froze up on camera, so the first time I took note of his status was following Laura Loomer’s July 6 update on his condition. I wasn’t even aware that he had been admitted to the hospital back on June 14, after reportedly being found unconscious at his D.C. home.
Today, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear (D) sent a letter to McConnell’s office requesting information about his hospitalization.
"Dear Senator McConnell: Over the last several weeks, Kentuckians have grown increasingly concerned about the current state of your health and wellbeing, and ability to hold office in the United States Senate. As Governor, I request that you fully update Kentuckians regarding the current status of your health. As public officeholders, we have made a commitment to our constituents to do our best to represent them and to always be transparent. I believe this requires clear communication about one's ability to serve. We wish you a safe and speedy recovery."
Only yesterday, a spokesperson for the Kentucky Senator's office told NBC News that allies had held 20-minute calls with him in the hospital about various unrelated issues. These allies being Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, R-Wyo., and a former McConnell campaign aide, Scott Jennings. Aside from this, there's no evidence that this happened and we just have to take the word from three liars for what it's worth.
It's not unlike a still unverified recording of an EMS call at the time of his first responders went to his home:

Centrists might want to play off reports of his ailing health as concerning but those of us who have followed what this man has done over several presidencies, it's impossible to have any sympathy for his health. It's irritating that headlines are expressing "concern" for him, especially when I first learned about it via right wing MAGAt Laura Loomer.

Laura Loomer's Reason for "Reporting" Senator as Brain Dead is About Politics
For decades now, since the Clinton administration, I've witnessed McConnell do detestable things. Specifically, he would block picks by Democratic presidents, weaponize GOP power in the senate and generally play the long game in order to get us to where we are now.
Sure, there's been some flexing between he and MAGAts and my thinking at the time of Laura Loomer's "brain dead" statement was to draw up sympathy for the self-proclaimed 'grim reaper' of bipartisanship.
In fact, she took in on herself to lead a writhing MAGAt army for his seat. For a while we've been seeing MAGAts eating away at the norms of how Congress has always worked, in order to rot government from the inside out, essentially, stating that the time of the old to make way for a new, more dangerous era of legislation has begun. As days go by, more people are wondering of Mitch McConnell is more than just "Brain Dead"?
As more continues to develop about these reports, the suspicion that McConnell death is being kept secret are due to Kentucky's succession law which states that when a Senate seat becomes vacant, the current Democratic governor — Andy Beshear — has to choose one of three replacements.
Due to the political plane of writing MAGAts in that state, the GOP submits those replacements and now those who hated McConnell would take that seat.
So, there's every reason to think that Connell's own team — and the allies mentioned before — are holding the line to keep his death a secret so that his enemies can't take over. Laura Loomer's declaration is an effort to incite effort to speed up the process of succession.
But how long does his team expect to drag this out before something would have to give?
