The great thing about Dallas or really, any city of any worth is the creative community. Promoters and creatives alike run into each other at the stores and at restaurants; and in 2011 before we booked a duo who referred to themselves as tweed EQ, we didn't realize what we would be witnessing. Robbie Saunders had plenty of material under that moniker and even more when we booked him again under a different name. The traffic was slow but he didn't mind, he was there to do one thing, which was to put sing those fucking songs.

High energy, and with some great hooks, you really get a kick with watching him settle into his grove, as if the songs came together as natural as anything despite how complex they seem in their construction. The Everly brothers came to mind, when he was a duo. Since then, it's always great to see him everywhere, knowing what a talent we have in our community.

For the rest of you daywalkers, we know how it gets. It's the middle of the week and you want the weekend to get here as quickly as yesterday, which is the reason the wells at The Sundown next to the Granada will be flowing with half price whiskey and the music of Foxtrot Uniform for free at 11:00pm. These guys don't stop. Check out the bragging on their bio, but they have every reason to. They made a lot of smart decisions in their first year, and adding Robbie Saunders of Deadstring Brothers and Tweed EQ was that smart decision. They keep that up, they'll make Dallas music history. Stream these sounds so you can get a sense of what'll be complementing your bourbon.

Despite the names listen on the site bio, as stated, they are currently a trio and have mentioned that they're looking to expand in the future. All of these guys are heavy hitters; they know how to cut the mustard and pickle back chasers. We don't fuck off round here!
