When I sent my email to my representative, I thought very little about the fact that he's a Republican senator. It seemed to work in my favor that he hadn't made his stance on Syria clear. This is assuming that my email to not go to war had anything to do with throwing a wrench in the gears of the war machine. We do keep hearing however that the American people were up in arms about this whole Syria thing. Is this true? Who knows these days, but it satisfies those that did it, for whatever reason they might be a conspiracy – I don't know. I'd have to think about that. There are truths, opinions, and agendas by which we make decisions on everyday. Despite all the confrontation and rhetoric, we seem clear on that one 'thing'. I've always wondered how many people in this country use common sense. I've often wondered how many of us leave more to the left than more to the right. I've thought this because it's very clear what new school and old school are in those situations. My family is old school so I argue with them on this all the time. I like to think that we're a more forward thinking nation and becoming more left leaning enough to crush the opposition, because I'm sick of seeing black dummies hanging off trees during elections or even Halloween, I'm sick of tobacco chewing baseball loving rednecks telling me that I'm not an American and I'm tired of stupid people being represented by other stupid people who make tons of money, while the rest of us grind away. The AdministrationWhen you look at presidential administrations of the past, you have moments of gain and progress under some and failure under others. How much of the earlier policies have to be adjusted before a new administration starts to work? I was talking with one shit head long ago named Jake who said that we can't blame the Bush administration (his president) for the current problems anymore. Now you have to blame Obama (not his president). I blame the Bush administration for keeping people in power thirsty for blood. I blame him for pumping money into the war machine and make it a self running enterprise. He didn't do it or start it by himself but he helped it. He didn't try to help change people's minds. When you're president, you've got a lot more hits than other celebrities and you have more influence on more people. You can change people's minds, especially generational – which really didn't start happening until 2009. In public, the Obama administration has talked less about war and more about peace. I'm not talking about some abrupt overnight change here, I'm talking about pushing through ideas and policies that put the guy who plays the war-drums out of work. As you can see, he's a bit rusty now on getting the public worked up for strategic strikes. Even the talk about minimal strikes is uncomfortable because we don't know what that means.Generations Of WarOne of the main reasons why we don't know what minimal strikes mean is because we're not used to it. We're used to all out blood shed or none at all. It's a generational thing. It's still present and organizations exist to make sure we work up people to kill others, to fight for the nation. They're still fully functioning entities, but they're now easier to see because of the new ideology that's become common during the last five years. Look at the hardcore blood thirsty Republicans that have been there since previous administrations who keep talking about Obama not showing leadership. These guys have been at it for a long time and have earned a lot from it. They either represent their people or the war machine which has made plenty of privileged families rich. Why would you want to let that go? It's like the red states that want to succeed. They don't want to be associated with this president, this threatens their financial structures, some which have made the family what it is for generations. The 9/11 memorial is there for a reason because we want a memory to stand for those who lost their lives on that day. Unfortunately, we're weak forgetful about things and need that there. It's why we have these holidays and stuff. But you also have a military program that gets people worked up to do battle. Sure, it's probably no different from a history lesson, but it sure helps to get your blood going, just as it did to many of us when it happened. However, there are still hidden powers who want war which is what made the president's recent address to the nation – weak. You could see that under the pressure of opposition, he was still trying to give the war mongers something to do. This administration cannot take complete responsibility for this call to war because there are other interests in the background that want it to happen. What are some of these interests that we have in Syria, chemical weapons? What the hell do I know about chemical weapons and for that matter what do YOU know!? To me, death is death and that's just another creative way to get there.Take The Left Step ForwardAdjustment from our previous involvement in other country's affairs is a hard thing to do. I want to stay positive and think that we're not that worked up anymore, and it's with the help of the Obama administration and progressives that it's this way. The guys at the top of the food chain as still hypocrites who say one thing and mean another, they can't get any real policies that will help us passed on the floor and they are constantly bickering over a bunch of bullshit. They're probably just doing it, to get us worked up. This doesn't mean that I shouldn't try to get the system to work.Turn it up on these guys, make them hear you all the time, get people to speak up against their representatives and make some changes people. One day, we'll be able to get the police and the government to work for us again.
