Slob Bannon DOJ Case Dismissed
I often wonder if Trump has chipped away at the Supreme Court long enough to let something like the case against Steve Bannon to be dismissed.
Bannon has been a nightmare growing long before Trump started his first election campaign. Little did I think he would succeed and make it as far as he has.
That jagoff has had such influence in political culture that it's chilling. His involvement in the January 6 Capitol riot of 2021 should have been a failure. When he defied a subpoena by Congress after his 2022 conviction, I would have thought the checks and balances would hold him accountable. There's no doubt now that Trump's second term would guarantee that would not be the case. Even under the Biden administration, a four-month prison sentence was laughable.
It's disturbing that the Trump administration has had such success, and it simply adds to the bleakness of our nation's system of accountability. All of this is a combination of his poisoning of the government's legal system and planting loyalists in the Supreme court throughout both terms.
