Over the last few years, we have seen a lot of great sounds come and go in Dallas, but we've never had anything that has shaken us and brought so much controversy as the work of FRAUSUN -- whose visuals will either stimulate or disgust you. It's honest and vulgar to people with delicate constitutions. It's work like this, that makes me give Dallas another chance. On that note, check out this new video by Frausun.

Peacock: A Film By DJ Frausun from Kurtz Frausun on Vimeo.
An artist searches for his Muse in a surrealistic landscape of haunting masked characters, sexual deviancy, and romantic poetry, framed as a video diary in the new full-length film from performance artist, Kurtz Frausun.
"Due to the extreme nature of my live shows, as DJ Frausun, causing many venues to ban me, I transferred my creative vision to film, which has no limits."
In the diary, the nameless protagonist enters a somnambulistic world, meeting and parting with mysterious women who he hopes will inspire his greatest works.
Colorful, multi-layered Rorschach-inspired backdrops are the landscape for unusual characters, such as a monk whose origami comes to life and a nude woman with hooks in her chest, where attached strings are plucked by peacock feathers to create symphonic sounds.
"Much like my first album, which contained encoded messages using Morse code drum beats, there are hidden symbols and fragments of my personal life throughout the work."
As the main character wanders this formidable landscape, the story jumps from the linear to the surreal, but always maintaining the deeply personal message of seeking love and inspiration among madness and psychic vampires.
"For all my bombastic, in-your-face energy, I'm rather private and intimate. 'Peacock' is the raw and exposed nerve of my life. This is the most I've ever revealed to any one person. Except now, it's global."
