Many people are driven to do the right thing because of Karma. As with every Westerner borrowing Eastern terms, I'm suspicious if they know what they mean. While Mathers didn't use the term, he strongly recommended against the use of black magick that was in the 'Key of Solomon' as well as the other editions of the text he was asked to release. He referred to karma in this case as the 'Reflex Current'. Perhaps, this is a better term for us westerners to use.
While it's always a good rule to be kind to others, there are still many who refuse to apply themselves to this rule. In such cases as these, one must commit themselves to a darker cause. Do this with all your power, and never rest. If a reflex current exists than let it exist as something to reference but nothing more. Our understanding of systemic process is limited to our own and nothing more.
It is often said that the differences between white and black magick apply to what each is used for and the emotions which are involved. The suggestion that negative energy brings about negative results is a misdirection of the facts. As I stated before, the rituals only alter your state of mind. As much as we feel we can wield the power to manipulate objects we much accept the facts, that this notion is preposterous. Fear nothing and improve thyself.
