Hello again.
I wanted to take some time to address some of the changes that will be taking place on this site. After observing the blogosphere and getting rejuvenated again, we feel that we can start moving towards our goal as a creative entity because we think it's time we did. So listen up chaps cause this is gonna be big.
When I first started this site, I wanted to focus on music related topics only. Independent musicians and their work. Eventually, I started doing a few interviews with some artists and booking shows, but never really married both this blog and that band booking work together.
Independent Media Platform
I'm no longer booking, but I have a massive network of artists and business people from my area that are out there doing great and amazing things and they need some exposure. I want to really dig into their music and their persona's and really get into what they're doing so over this next month, I and we (meaning me), will be working with those artists to funnel their output through this site.
This means that all of the content here is going to be original, all of the probing is going to be unique and we'll get some exclusive stuff on here that's going to be completely original. This means articles, interviews, reviews and more.
Let me be clear on this though, because we won't just be covering music. We'll be working to cover projects from creators of all kinds here. We've even starting edging our way to national and international acts. Who knows, we might get some heavy hitters in here too! People we've been wanting to talk to for a while -- including some comedians!
We're also thinking bigger than that. We're starting up a podcast too. We're looking at one three-hour show a week, with bits, calls, music and more! If you look at our 'Night Of The Snakehorse' page, you'll find links to the mp3 files from last year. The sound quality is not all that great as they were testing out the platform format, and we will be starting it again soon.
You'll also find a third project of our there which is the puppet show we're looking to get off the ground. You can see the one complete episode there.
Along with all of this, articles about current events, editorials and original stories/books will be filtered through here as well. It's all part of the experience of 'Thee Incendiary Witchboard' that we want to focus on to entertain and inform you of really interesting stuff you can look forward to. Stuff that helps you escape the daily 'grind' and stimulate you at the same time.
Marketing Our Brand
Thee Incendiary Witchboard will be a one-stop-shop for all of our creations, so in a way, it's going to be a free-form umbrella organization that has its own philosophy. We do have a small membership of devotees that we've built this organization on. They have special privileges and are private 'shareholders' (for the lack of a better word), who are involved with the projects that is already on this site. This group of people are called 'Thee Witchboard' of which there are twelve. In a way, we are structured like secretive group, but only of our practices as it concerns our philosophy.
In the future, we would like to open the membership to more people, but first we have to present you with what we have and convince you of the experience.
As part of the experience however, we want to involve many of the blogs and bloggers that follow us and that we follow, to involve you with this experience so that you can take part. We have some ideas for a project that we can keep going through our service and that's where we get to the subject of advertising.
We're big proponents of helping people out. So we're talking with resources that cater to a demographic that will stick with us once we advertise through them. This means thousands of visitors a day and more exposure for you. As it is close to the end of 2013, it makes sense to aim for 01.01.2014. By then, we should have all the 'kinks' out of the system, which we'll be expanding too.
Phase One
Starting this week, we'll start posting articles of introduction, that we can use as reference documents for our philosophy and mindset. We will share these out further and we encourage that you share them out as well. For those of you who have already been following us, we will send you a free copy of our first publication e-book when we're done. It will be completed before the end of the year.
