Angus & Julia Stone 'Down The Way' (Nettwerk)
Brother & Sister duo released their 2nd album this week. Folky, sweet, delicate. Julia's vocals on 'For You' are so moving when I first heard them, I felt like crying in my eggs... MY EGGS!
She has that child-like style like Hope Sandoval, so they have an overall Mazzy feel, and at times especially on 'Big Jet Plane', the sound goes back to early Coldplay.
Despite all that, it isn't a downer and I'm not surprised they are signed to a major label already. I wouldn't waste my text to talk about them, but I really really like this. Check out 'Big Jet Plane' in the player below, and the rest of the album.
