"A Bleak Forecast Of America's Economy, Thanks To Trump"

Demander-in-Thief's Recklessness on Qualified Assessments...

Donald Trump lies to us all of the time and when his lies don't hold, he will do anything he can to make sure that they do.

We know from those cases where he was cooking the books, that when it comes to numbers that affect Americans, he will do the same thing.

This includes replacing Fed Chair Jerome Powell with himself, since he's not very happy with his assessment made during a press conference last week.

"Am I allowed to appoint myself at the Fed? I'd do a much better job than these people."

Is he "allowed" he asks?

It's not as if he's asked permission for anything he's been doing.

In fact, the entire point of his second term is to no longer have permission.

Should it get that bad — thanks to that orange shit-piece — people like Jerome Powell and Steve Rattner, are now a dying breed.

Those guys still rely on real numbers and hard data for their assessments.

... and On America's Economy.

Trump's blitzkrieg of tariffs caused people to lose a lot of money overnight, widely targeting manufactures, and industries that deal with importing/exporting products.

Rattner started Thursday morning with talking about the unemployment rate for college graduates and the reasons for the increase saying:

"We don't of course exactly know. There's talk that companies are starting to cut back on their hiring because of the economic uncertainty, the tariffs or whatever. There's some suggestion that you might be seeing some effects of AI. The unemployment rate for computer programmers is actually higher than this (5.8% from US average of 4.2%), it's at 6.1%. and that could be a factor here."

I would say that "the talk" is about right.

I can't get a writing job like I used to.

I can't get a tech support or customer service job like I used to at more than $12 per hour.

Let me also offer a little peek into my world.

I worked at an Amazon fulfillment center over the last year, which is hard work and so I can relate to another assessment Rattner refers to:

"And just one other small fact on this. We talk a lot about manufacturing jobs. There are actually 400,000 unfilled manufacturing jobs in this country at the moment and yet, you have people saying that jobs aren't so plentiful. I think it's becoming clearer that many Americans really don't actually want to go back into factories. They're dirty, it's very routine work and I think that a lot of them are basically looking for other types of jobs. So, as we think about our manufacturing policy, and how many manufacturing jobs we really want to try and create here, it is helpful to keep this in mind."

Wow!

How about that!

A numbers guy who is also keeping it real!

Let's be honest.

With Trump hitting this country's foundation, we're all starting to feel the disruption.
