My Only Thoughts On Chef Anne Burrell's Death

Anne Burrell

Anne Burrell

Just like any other death, the death of Anne Burrell has come as a surprise.

I wasn't really a fan but again, like others, I knew her from Food Network appearances minus a show of her own.

Obviously, I missed out on her own Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the entire nine seasons.

Her hard shell demeanor often turned me off as it's not always the way to get things done but it's what she seemed to settle for.

Anne Burrell Fallout with Phil Casaceli

The last and only big impression she left was the falling out in a business relationship with Phil Casaceli, when they opened up Phil & Anne's Good Time Lounge.

The story is that they had a falling out as soon as the doors opened

I can only assume it's because of her, as Phil said at one point that Burrell felt that her association with the lounge would bring customers.

According to one report, Burrell referred to Casaceli as a "miserable fuck" due to some differences they had which is troubling considering that they started off as friends.

That pretty much tells me everything I need to know about her.

Of course, I never got the privilege to know her but we see them enough to feel we do.

Despite the soured relationship, Casaceli acknowledged Anne Burrell's passing on his bar's Facebook page.

Cause of death is still unknown.
