Developing Developing story — more updates coming
Last Updated July 7, 12:00AM New details about the account making the accusations

In recent days, this Facebook account posted the following.

These are very serious allegations about RetroSynth but we didn't start hearing about it before the following was posted yesterday.

As a long time listener for SynthWave artists, we've become familiar with RetroSynth's branding and artists that are apparently under them.

In tracking the details of whatever is going on, we saw this also posted by RS.

The back and forth in these threads are extensive but in summary; some artists are coming forward about their experience with RetroSynth but the brand has chosen to remain silent on these issues.

We've reached out to some of the artists that we already know and have been friends with on social media. Most have chosen to remain quiet while a few have either redirected us elsewhere or waiting for all of this to die down before coming forward.

What we've being told as our first update is the account that's posted the embeds above "is publicly visible from the site for now..." Which we take to mean that it could end up going dark? The reason for this is because "Vero, the poster of the allegations in the screenshot is a member of Zenith Sounds."

For the time being however, our thoughts are on how this could impact RetroSynth:

  1. They keep doing as they've done and what's true or untrue will fall by the wayside.
  2. The brand will change their process to satisfy dissatisfied clients.
  3. The pressure could cause them to shudder their "doors".
